Built separate account types so an admin has full access, shop-floor employees can update job status and routing steps, and other staff can be limited to view-only access.
Work orders, routing steps, and full status history are tracked in one place, replacing paper travelers and disconnected spreadsheets.
Existing job history was carefully migrated into the new system without losing records, so the shop kept its full job history during the switch.
Access rules are enforced at the database level, not just hidden in the interface, so permissions hold up even if someone tries to bypass the app itself.
The same system works from a shop-floor tablet, an office computer, or a phone, without installing separate software on each machine.
